Safe Travel to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Christine Hodges and I both agree that this has probably been the smoothest travel day we've had with this program.  Most of us didn't get any sleep on Monday night since we had to get to Reagan National Airport by 6 am on Tuesday.  Therefore, we have given our 4-H bloggers the night off tonight so they can get some sleep.  We will update tomorrow.

In the meantime, suffice it to say that we were welcomed here with smiles and hugs.  It felt like coming home to visit friends and family.  What a warm feeling.  Please enjoy a couple of our group travel photos and know that we are all safe and sound in Punta Cana, anxiously awaiting our day working with our Dominican teen partners tomorrow!

Reagan National Airport at 6 am.  Thanks to Michelle Binebrink and Rory Nansel for driving us there!

Our traditional safe arrival photo at the PUJ airport - the largest privately owned international airport in the world.

Our VIP transport from the airport - our luggage was hoisted in through the back window.
